Evaluation of the Effect of 14 June 2020 Bingöl-Karlıova Earthquake on Masonry Structures

On June 14, 2020, a 5.7 magnitude earthquake occurred in the junction region of North Anatolian Fault and East Fault, epicenter which is Bingöl-Karlıova (Latitude: 39.365N, Longitude: 40.714E). Most building stock consists masonry buildings rural areas Eastern Anatolia Region various parts city centers. these consist rubble walls that do not have good mortar. These walls, are exposed to in-plane out-of-plane forces with effect earthquake, can be easily damaged due their low tensile strength. In this study, types damage occurring Kaynarpınar, Dinarbey Elmalı villages were determined.
